The External Database Integration feature in Graphina Pro allows users to fetch and display data from external databases directly in their charts. This is a powerful feature for businesses and developers who need real-time, dynamic data visualization from sources outside of WordPress.


How Does External Database Integration Work?

With this feature, Graphina Pro can connect to remote MySQL or other databases, retrieve data, and visualize it in charts without needing to manually import CSV files or update data manually.

How to Use External Database Integration in Graphina Pro?


Step 1: Open the External Database Settings

  • Navigate to Graphina Settings in your WordPress dashboard.
  • Click on the “External Database” tab.

Step 2: Enter Database Connection Details

Fill in the required fields with your database credentials:

  • Connection Name: Give your connection a recognizable name (e.g., graphina_test).
  • Note:- It is requested to use only lowercase for names and underscore for spaces as shown in the e.g
  • Database Name: Enter the exact name of your database (e.g., graphina).
  • Vendor: Select your database type (e.g., MySQL).
  • Host: Enter the database host (e.g., localhost for a local server).
  • Username: Provide the database username (e.g., root).
  • Password: Enter the password for the database.

Step 3: Test the Database Connection

  • Click on the “Test DB Setting” button to verify the connection.
  • If the test is successful, you will receive a confirmation message.
  • If the test fails, check your credentials and try again.

Step 4: Save or Reset the Settings

  • Once the connection is verified, click “Save Setting” to store the configuration.
  • If you need to reset the details, click “Reset” to clear the fields.

Step 5: Use the Database for Graphina Charts

  • Now that the connection is established, you can write SQL queries to fetch data.
  • Use the retrieved data to create live, interactive charts in Graphina.
