{"id":2125,"date":"2025-09-27T05:55:06","date_gmt":"2025-09-27T05:55:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/handyman\/?p=2125"},"modified":"2026-02-18T11:41:10","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T11:41:10","slug":"how-to-use-the-featured-category-feature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/handyman\/how-to-use-the-featured-category-feature\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Use the Featured Category Feature?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"nolwrap\">\n<p>To set a Featured Category from the Admin Panel, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Login as Super Admin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Login to the <strong>Admin Panel<\/strong> using your <strong>Super Admin<\/strong> credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Go to Category Section<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Navigate to the <strong>Category<\/strong> tab from the sidebar menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"678\" src=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/handyman\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2025\/09\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2141\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Add or Edit Category<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on <strong>Add Category<\/strong> (to create a new one) or <strong>Edit<\/strong> (to update an existing category).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Enable \u201cSet as Featured\u201d Option<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As shown in the image below, you will find the <strong>\u201cSet as Featured\u201d<\/strong> option.<br>Turn this option Enable to mark the category as Featured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1586\" height=\"681\" src=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/handyman\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2026\/02\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2132\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5: Save the Category<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the <strong>Save\/Update<\/strong> button to apply the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After saving, you can see that the selected categories (for example, <strong>AC CoolCare<\/strong>, <strong>Painter<\/strong>, etc.) are now marked as <strong>Featured Categories<\/strong>, as shown in the image below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1598\" height=\"671\" src=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/handyman\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2026\/02\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2133\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcf1 How It Works in the User App<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the admin enables a category as <strong>Featured<\/strong> (as shown in the image), the selected categories (for example, <strong>AC CoolCare Service<\/strong>, <strong>Painter<\/strong>, etc.) will be displayed in the <strong>Featured Category section<\/strong> on the <strong>User App Dashboard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As shown in the image below, only the categories marked as Featured in the Admin Panel will appear in the <strong>Dashboard tab<\/strong> of the User App.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1068\" height=\"2372\" src=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/handyman\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2026\/02\/rn_image_picker_lib_temp_6c9f234b-54b7-4b85-8469-311d8c3ff49f.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2134\" style=\"width:300px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2728<\/strong> You can use this feature to highlight important, trending, or popular categories in the app.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To set a Featured Category from the Admin Panel, follow the steps below: Step 1: Login as Super Admin Login to the Admin Panel using your Super Admin credentials.
