Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Encounter Dashboard<\/strong> is the central workspace for Doctors<\/strong> and Clinic Admins<\/strong> to document, manage, and complete a patient\u2019s medical visit. It brings together all essential clinical information\u2014such as notes, prescriptions, reports, and billing\u2014into a single, unified interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This dashboard streamlines clinical workflows and ensures accurate documentation throughout the patient encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Accessing the Dashboard<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To open an encounter dashboard:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Navigate to Encounters \u2192 Encounter List<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Locate the required encounter (search by patient name or date)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Click the Dashboard<\/strong> button for the selected encounter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    2. Dashboard Interface<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Encounter Dashboard is divided into two primary areas to improve usability and efficiency.

    A. Left Sidebar: Encounter Details<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The left sidebar provides quick context for the active medical session and is divided into two sections:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. About Patient<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Profile:<\/strong> Patient name and email address<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Encounter Date:<\/strong> Scheduled date of the visit<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Address:<\/strong> Patient\u2019s registered address<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      2. About Clinic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Status:<\/strong> Current encounter status (Open<\/em>, Closed<\/em>, or Pending<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Clinic Profile:<\/strong> Clinic name and assigned doctor<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Created:<\/strong> Date and time the encounter record was created<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          The main workspace uses a tab-based layout to organize clinical tasks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Body Chart (Add-on):<\/strong> Visual tools for marking pain points or symptoms<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Custom Forms:<\/strong> Additional forms configured for the encounter type<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            3. Clinical Details Management<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            The Clinical Details<\/strong> tab is the default view and is used to record patient history and treatment information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    Encounter Templates<\/strong> allow clinicians to pre-fill commonly used clinical data, reducing documentation time for routine visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    Using Templates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                    • In the left sidebar, locate the Encounter Template<\/strong> field<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Select a template from the dropdown (e.g., General Checkup<\/em>, Dental Cleaning<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Relevant clinical fields are automatically populated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                      Managing Templates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                      • Templates can be created and managed from Encounters \u2192 Encounter Templates<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                        5. Body Chart (Add-on)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                        When the Body Chart add-on is enabled, clinicians can visually document symptoms and affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                        • Create \/ Edit:<\/strong> Use the interactive diagram to mark specific body areas and add localized notes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                          Print Encounter<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                          • Click Print Encounter<\/strong> to generate a comprehensive PDF summary, including clinical notes and prescriptions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                            Completing the Session<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                            To complete the visit and finalize billing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                            1. Click Close Encounter<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                            2. If billing is enabled, the Edit Bill<\/strong> modal opens<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                            3. Review services and charges<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                            4. Apply discounts if applicable<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                            5. Confirm the total payable amount<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                              Once confirmed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                              • The encounter status changes to Closed<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                              • An invoice is generated automatically<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n

                                7. Permissions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                                By default, Clinic Admins, Doctors, and Receptionists<\/strong> have full access to encounter management, including the ability to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                • View encounters<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                • Add and edit clinical data<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                • Delete encounters<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                • Export encounter records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
