Set Up a New Streaming Channel

Get your live content online in minutes! With the Live Streaming plugin, you can easily create a dedicated channel that includes your stream, eye-catching visuals, metadata, and custom settings, everything you need to engage your audience.


How to Add a New TV Channel?

Overview

The Add TV Channel page lets you quickly create a new live stream by adding the channel name, images, video URL, category, and ad settings — all in one place.

  1. Go to Live Streaming → TV Channel → Add TV Channel

You’ll see a screen similar to this:

✍️ Add Tv Channel Fields

  • Title – Enter the name of the TV channel (e.g., Sports Live, News 24).
  • Author – Automatically set to the current user; you can leave this as-is.
  • Status – Set the channel status (e.g., Published, Draft) to control visibility.
  • EPG Channel ID – Enter the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) ID to link with program guide data.
    Note: EPG must be enabled for this setting to work.
  • Content – Add a description or details about the channel, if needed.

🖼️ Upload Channel Images

  • Thumbnail Image: Upload or select the main image shown in listings or previews.
  • Portrait Image: Upload or select a vertical image, often used in mobile layouts.

💡 Tip: Use high-quality images to enhance visibility and branding.


🔗 Enter Stream Information

  • Video URL: Paste the direct streaming URL here (must be .m3u8 or HLS format) for playback.
    💡 Important: Ensure the URL is publicly accessible and correctly formatted.
  • Recommended Channels: Link to other related channels, this increases engagement by suggesting similar or complementary streams.
  • Select Category: Assign the channel to one or more categories to help users filter and find it easily.

🎬 Configure Advertisement Settings

  • Enable/Disable Ads Feature → Toggle to enable or disable ads for this channel. This gives you control over monetization at the individual stream level.
  • Ads Type → Choose the ad integration type (e.g., VAST). This determines how the ad content will be fetched and displayed.
  • VAST URL →Enter the ad provider’s VAST tag URL.
    💡 Tip: Double-check the VAST URL is active and correctly set up with your ad network.
  • HTML – Manually embed custom ad content using HTML (e.g., banners, iframes).

✅ Final Step: Publish

Once all fields are filled in:

  1. Click the Add Channels button on the bottom left
  2. Your channel is now live and can be embedded using a shortcode or block!
