EPG Frontend

The EPG Frontend is a visually interactive schedule layout that helps users browse TV channel programs in a timeline format. It enhances user experience by allowing real-time navigation, preview, and selection of streaming content.

🔸 Key Elements Explained:

  • Current Channel Display :
The center screen shows the currently selected channel stream in real-time. In your example, the 9xm is playing the current news content.
  • Live Video Playback :
Users can instantly watch the live content of any channel, with the EPG timeline updating in sync. The playback screen retains a traditional TV-style viewing with program overlay.
  • Program Timeline Bar :
At the bottom, the horizontal timeline slider represents the EPG program guide. This shows a real-time grid of programs, sorted by time slots and channels.
  • Program Blocks :
Each program block contains the show name and time range (e.g., “News 11:30 – 12:00”), letting users know what’s airing now and what’s next. The red highlight shows current time.
  • Navigation Across Time :
Users can scroll left (past) or right (future) to see yesterday’s, today’s, and tomorrow’s schedule. This provides a seamless experience for previewing upcoming content.
  • Channel Thumbnails & Info :
The lower section features each channel’s thumbnail and name (e.g., News, Commercial, Tejas, etc.), offering quick visual recognition and jump-to options.
  • Day Tabs :
Users can click on “Yesterday”, “Today”, or “Tomorrow” to quickly jump between days and browse upcoming schedules.
  • Scroll Controls & Time Guide :
Horizontal scroll and red vertical time indicators let users track what’s currently playing and what’s lined up across all listed channels.
