General Settings

The General Settings section in Content Import allows you to configure API keys for different external content providers. These keys are necessary to fetch movies, TV shows, or videos directly into your site.

Currently, the following providers are supported:

  • TMDb (The Movie Database)
  • OMDb (Open Movie Database)
  • Vimeo
  • YouTube

🔑 Fields Explanation

1. Provider Tabs

Each tab corresponds to a different provider:

  • TMDb – Fetch movies, TV shows, and person details from The Movie Database.
  • OMDb – Retrieve metadata such as ratings, actors, and details from Open Movie Database.
  • Vimeo – Import videos directly from Vimeo.
  • YouTube – Import videos from YouTube.

2. API Key Toggle (On/Off)

  • Checkbox to enable or disable API key usage for that provider.
  • Must be checked to activate content import from the provider.

3. API Key Field

  • Input field where you enter the provider’s developer key (e.g., TMDb API key, YouTube API key, etc.).
  • Without a valid key, content import from that provider will not work.

4. Save Button

  • Click Save after entering the API key.
  • The system will store the key for future imports.

✅ Tip: Always ensure your API keys are valid and active. Invalid or expired keys will result in “No Data Available in Table” when trying to import.
