How To Set Membership?

What is a Membership Plan?

A Membership Plan is a subscription-based option that gives users ongoing access to a wide range of content, such as movies, TV shows, or videos, for a specific duration (e.g., monthly or yearly).

When a user subscribes to a membership plan, they can enjoy unlimited access to all content included in their plan without having to pay separately for each item. Membership plans are ideal for users who want continuous access to content rather than renting individual items.

Set Up Content Restriction

Important Notes

  • Paid Memberships Pro (PMPro) plugin must be installed and active.
    • All content restriction features (Free, Plan, PPV, or Either Plan/PPV) are handled through PMPro.
    • If the plugin is not available or inactive, none of the content restriction options will work.
  • Membership levels should be created in PMPro (required for Plan or Either Plan/PPV access).
  • PPV settings are managed through PMPro. Ensure PPV is enabled and configured in your theme/plugin settings.

Where to Configure

You set access per content item (Movie, Video, or TV Show):

  • Movies: Dashboard → Movies → Add New / Edit
  • Videos: Dashboard → Videos → Add New / Edit
  • TV Shows: Dashboard → TV Shows → Add New / Edit

Then open the Membership tab and use the Access Type selector.

Access Types

In Streamit, for Content Restriction we provide the following options:

  1. Free
  2. Plan (PMP)
  3. PPV (Rent)
  4. Any One of Them (Plan or PPV)
1. Free

By default, all new content items are set to Free, meaning anyone can watch them without restrictions.

Steps:

  1. Go to Membership tab.
  2. In Access Type, select Free (default).
  3. Click Add/Update.

✅ Now the content is set as Free.

2. Plan (Membership)

Only users with selected membership plan(s) can watch.

Steps:

  1. Go to Membership tab.
  2. In Access Type, select Plan (PMP).
  3. Under Choose PMP Levels, pick the plan(s).
  4. Click Add/Update.

✅ Now the content is restricted to selected Membership Plans.

3. PPV (Pay Per View)

Users can rent this single item without a membership.

4. Either Plan or PPV

Users can access the item if they have the required membership plan or purchase a PPV rental—whichever applies.

Steps:

  1. Open the content item.
  2. Go to Membership tab.
  3. Set Access Type to Any One of Them(Plan or PPV).
  4. Configure Membership Levels (who gets access via plan).
  5. Configure PPV settings (PPV Duration (Days), PPV Price, Discount(Optional)).
  6. Click Add or Update.

Note: Setting PPV Duration to ‘0‘ will grant the user Lifetime Access to the selected content.

✅ Now the content is restricted to Either Membership Plan or PPV rental.
