Once the release date arrives, the content is <strong>automatically published<\/strong>, making it available for users to watch instantly\u2014no manual action required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why User Upcoming?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Upcoming feature helps your platform grow and improve user engagement in multiple ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Attract users with new and exciting content<\/strong> that is coming soon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Encourage users to return<\/strong> by providing a <em>Remind Me<\/em> option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Boost anticipation and retention<\/strong>, especially for big releases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Create hype and maintain user interest<\/strong> even before the content is available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Set Upcoming<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn how to configure upcoming content from the admin panel, visit here: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/streamit\/theme-options\/content\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/streamit\/theme-options\/content\">Theme Option<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>User-Side View (Upcoming Content Display)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.  <strong>Movies, Video<\/strong> <strong>and TV show<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>On the user side, upcoming movies or video are clearly highlighted with two important elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1907\" height=\"903\" src=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/streamit\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/image-16.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2819\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Release Date Display<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>As shown in the screenshot, the upcoming content displays a <strong>Release Date badge<\/strong> (e.g., <em>\u201cRelease on Sunday, November 30, 2025\u201d<\/em>).<br>This lets users know exactly when the movie or show will become available to watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. \u201cRemind Me\u201d Button<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>We provide a <strong>Remind Me<\/strong> button so users can set a reminder for the upcoming release.<br>When a user clicks the button:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The reminder is added For that user.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the content officially releases, the user automatically receives a <strong>release notification<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This ensures the user never misses the launch of new content they are interested in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This feature helps increase engagement, keeps users excited for new releases, and drives more traffic at launch time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. TV <strong>Shows<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>Seasons<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>TV shows<\/strong> <strong>seasons<\/strong>, the upcoming feature works slightly differently compared to other because each TV show can contain multiple <strong>seasons<\/strong>. To make it clear and user-friendly, the system highlights upcoming seasons using a visual badge and provides reminder options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1909\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/streamit\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/image-17.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2832\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How Upcoming Seasons Are Displayed to Users<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>When a season is marked as upcoming in the admin panel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>Season Tab<\/strong> is labeled with a <strong>\u201cComing Soon\u201d<\/strong> badge (as shown in the screenshot).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users can still click on the season tab, but they will see an <strong>upcoming preview<\/strong> instead of playable episodes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The season details page displays:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Release Date<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Season Title<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Short description<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Remind Me<\/strong> button(It work similar as Movie, video and TV show)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Episodes<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Upcoming feature is also applied to TV Show episodes. When an episode is marked as <em>upcoming<\/em> in the admin panel, it is visually highlighted to users across both the season listing and the single episode detail page. This ensures users are always aware of future releases and can set reminders for specific episodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Season Episode List \u2013 Upcoming Episode Preview<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1903\" height=\"527\" src=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/streamit\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/image-18.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2835\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the season episode list (see first image), any episode that is not yet released will display a <strong>\u201cComing Soon\u201d<\/strong> label. This helps users instantly identify which episodes are currently available and which ones will be released in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each upcoming episode shows a <strong>thumbnail preview<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Coming Soon badge<\/strong> is placed clearly on top of the episode thumbnail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users can browse through all upcoming episodes within a season, allowing them to stay aware of the show\u2019s progression and release timeline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This layout is designed to maintain user engagement by keeping them informed about future content at a glance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Single Episode Page \u2013 Upcoming Episode Countdown<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1908\" height=\"911\" src=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/streamit\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/image-19.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2836\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When the user opens an individual episode that is upcoming (see second image), a dedicated <strong>coming soon countdown page<\/strong> is displayed instead of the video player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This page includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>large poster banner<\/strong> of the episode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>countdown timer<\/strong> showing exact days, hours, minutes, and seconds until release.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>scheduled release date<\/strong> displayed prominently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>Remind Me<\/strong> button, allowing users to receive an automatic notification once the episode becomes available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This ensures users stay engaged and excited about upcoming episodes while giving them a clear timeline for release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Player Security for Upcoming Content<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure platform security and prevent users from accessing unreleased content, we have added a dedicated player-level restriction for upcoming movies and episodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1918\" height=\"956\" src=\"https:\/\/documentation.iqonic.design\/streamit\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/Screenshot-from-2025-11-14-18-12-03.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2840\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if a user manually types the video URL or attempts to open the player directly, the system will <strong>block playback<\/strong> until the scheduled release date arrives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead of the video player, the user will see an <strong>Upcoming Countdown Screen<\/strong> (as shown in the screenshot), which displays:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>title<\/strong> of the upcoming content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>Coming Soon<\/strong> label<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>exact release date<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>real-time countdown<\/strong> (days, hours, minutes, seconds)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>Remind Me button<\/strong> so the user can receive a release notification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This security layer ensures that no content can be watched before its official release time, keeping your media protected and maintaining platform integrity.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Upcoming Feature is designed to showcase all future content scheduled for release on your platform.On the user side, these items appear under the Upcoming section, along with a \u201cRemind Me\u201d button that allows users to get notified when the content becomes available.
