Common Use Cases

1. Chronic Disease Management

Healthcare providers can conduct routine follow-up consultations for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes or hypertension, reducing the need for in-person visits.

  • Workflow: A doctor schedules a virtual follow-up appointment, and the system automatically creates a Google Calendar event with a Google Meet link.
2. Mental Health Consultations

Psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists can deliver secure and private video consultations using Google Meet.

  • Workflow: A patient books a telemedicine-enabled therapy service, and a unique Google Meet link is generated and linked to the corresponding Google Calendar event.
3. Quick Prescription Refills

For cases where a physical examination is not required, doctors can handle prescription refills through short video consultations.

  • Workflow: The patient requests a refill, the doctor conducts a brief video call, and the encounter and prescription are recorded in KiviCare.

Doctor Workflow

Doctors manage virtual consultations directly from the KiviCare system:

  1. Preparation – Review upcoming telemedicine appointments in the KiviCare Calendar or synchronized Google Calendar.
  2. Launch Session – Start the Google Meet call directly from the appointment details within the KiviCare Dashboard.
  3. Clinical Documentation – Record notes and patient details in the Encounter screen during the consultation.
  4. Completion – Appointment progress and Google Meet links are automatically stored in the encounter records.
