Kivicare Telemed Addon
Getting Started

Use Cases & Patient Workflow

The Telemedicine addon is versatile enough to support various medical scenarios. Here is how it functions in real-world clinic environments.

📋 Common Use Cases

1. Chronic Disease Management

Doctors can follow up with diabetic or hypertensive patients for routine check-ins without the patient needing to travel.

  • Workflow: Doctor schedules a recurring virtual appointment -> Zoom Meeting is reused for each follow-up.

2. Mental Health Consultations

Psychiatrists and Therapists can conduct therapy sessions in a secure, private video environment.

  • Workflow: Patient books a “Therapy” service -> A unique, password-protected Zoom link is generated.

3. Quick Prescription Refills

For simple refills where a physical exam isn’t necessary.

  • Workflow: Patient requests refill -> Doctor reviews via 10-minute video call -> Encounter is logged and prescription sent.
