🕒 Estimated Reading: 1 minutes

ℹ️Error Overview

When you’re trying to upload your iOS app to the Apple App Store, you might see the following error:

Unable to process request – PLA Update

This error indicates that your Apple Developer Program License Agreement (PLA) has not been accepted yet.

ℹ️Why This Error Occurs?

Apple regularly updates its Developer Program License Agreement. If you haven’t accepted the latest version of this agreement, Apple will not allow you to publish or upload apps to the App Store.

Solution – How to Fix It?

  1. 🔗 Visit: Apple Developer Account
  2. Log in with your Apple ID.
  3. If a Terms & Conditions or License Agreement popup appears, review and accept it.
  4. If no popup appears, follow the steps below:
    • Go to: Account > Membership
    • Check for any agreements pending under the “Program License Agreement” section.
    • Click Review Agreement, scroll to the bottom, and click I Agree.

Additional Tip:

  • Having an accepted PLA is also essential for Firebase, App Store Connect, and Xcode-related processes.

🎉 You’re Done!

After successfully accepting the updated Program License Agreement in your Apple Developer Account, you can try uploading your app again — the error will no longer appear.
